Snow and hail blanket parts of the Arabian Desert
While most of the Middle East suffered prolonged heavy rains and deadly floods over the past 30 days, winter weather hit parts of the Arabian Peninsula, covering its deserts in a layer of snow.
Northern Saudi cities, including Ha’il, al-Jouf and Tabuk experienced another round of snow this week, bringing both joy and misery to its residents.

The region saw its first snow of the season at the beginning of November.
At the time, snow and hail fell as south as Maysan in the country's southwest.
Many avid photographers documented the view, as the cold weather helped keep the sheet of snow covering trees, valleys and mountains from melting.
