A large landslide hit the Nyamasheke district of Rwanda's Western Province after a period of heavy rainfall on May 9, 2021, forcing hundreds of people from their homes.
According to provincial officials, the landslide damaged more than 100 homes and completely destroyed 39.
As a result, 631 people from 117 families were displaced.
