Record seasonal snowfall measured at Juneau International Airport, Alaska
Juneau International Airport in Alaska recorded 511 cm (201.2 inches) of snowfall for the 2025/26 season through March 23, setting a new seasonal record for the airport. The total exceeds the previous airport record of 502.7 cm (197.9 inches) from 2006/07, while daily snowfall records were also set on March 22 and 23, and the March monthly total reached a record 175.8 cm (69.2 inches).

As of March 23, Juneau International Airport recorded 511 cm (201.2 inches) of snow for the season, setting a new seasonal snow record.
The new total exceeds the previous airport record of 502.7 cm (197.9 inches) set in the 2006/07 season. The 1964/65 season ranks third at 493.5 cm (194.3 inches).
This comes as the airport broke two daily snowfall records back-to-back on March 22 and 23, according to National Weather Service (NWS) record event reports. A total of 9.1 cm (3.6 inches) of snow was recorded on March 22, breaking the previous record of 6.9 cm (2.7 inches) set on March 22, 2021.
On March 23, the airport recorded 13.7 cm (5.4 inches) of snow, exceeding the previous daily record of 7.9 cm (3.1 inches) set in 2010.
March 2026 has also become the snowiest March on record at the airport, with 175.8 cm (69.2 inches) recorded through March 23.
At the NWS office in Juneau, seasonal snowfall totals are also among the highest in its shorter period of record. NWS Juneau has identified 2006/07 as the office’s snowiest season, with 565.4 cm (222.6 inches).
