A bright fireball was seen streaking through the night sky over Connecticut and New York, U.S. at 02:22 UTC on November 9, 2020 (19:22 EST, November 8).

The American Meteor Society (AMS) received more than 210 reports from 12 states, including Massachusetts, Delaware, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Québec, Canada.

"While this event is still under investigation, the preliminary trajectory computed based on all the reports submitted to the AMS so far shows that the fireball was traveling from East to West and ended its visible flight somewhere sought of Poughkeepsie, NY," AMS said.
