‘Fire tornado’ produced by Sam Fire in Los Angeles, California
Hot winds met with smoke and flames produced by the Sam Fire in northwestern Los Angeles, California on August 10, 2022, developing an amazing tornado-like pattern.

The fire broke out near the Old Ridge Route and Lancaster Road in Gorman around 17:00 LT on August 10.
Over the next 75 minutes, it grew to 60 ha (148 acres) and was 60% contained by 20:15 LT, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s office.
