Intense hailstorm lashes Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik, Croatia faced an unusual meteorological event on January 20, 2023, as a severe hailstorm blanketed the city, causing hazardous driving conditions.

While the majority of Northern Croatia and a considerable portion of Dalmatia experienced snowfall, Dubrovnik was able to evade the worst of it but was hit by a hailstorm instead.

Residents and visitors of Dubrovnik are advised to exercise caution and stay updated on weather forecasts as unsettled weather is forecasted to continue for the next 7 days.

  1. Looks like a lot of snow. My expat friend lives in Lapad, northern district of Dubrovnik, I spoke with her yesterday she said it made a hell of a racket against the conservatory windows and there was plenty of lightning
