Pyroclastic flows and lava overflow at Stromboli volcano, Italy

Pyroclastic flows and lava overflow were observed on the Sciara del Fuoco, Stromboli volcano on October 9, 2022.
The first pyroclastic flow, reported at 07:23 UTC, quickly reached the coast and was followed by several smaller ones.1
In addition, INGV-OE monitoring networks observed well-fed lava flow reaching all the way to the coast.
From the seismic point of view, the activity increased at 06:24 UTC.
