New activity/unrest was reported for 5 volcanoes from April 6 to 12, 2022. During the same period, ongoing activity was reported for 20 volcanoes.

A small number of earthquakes were also recorded in 2020 but this swarm is unusual in the number of events. The last eruption of this volcano was in 2220 BCE (± 100 years).
