Massive sinkholes are opening up on New Jersey beaches days after coastal flooding caused by slow-moving nor'easter, later subtropical and then tropical storm Melissa.

Town officials in Sea Bright are warning people to stay away. If you get too close, the sand could collapse under your feet.

The storm also carved out steep and sudden cliffs along the coast, in Atlantic and Cape May counties they reached 2.1 m (7 feet) high.
