Rare waterspout forms off the coast of Lebanon
A rare waterspout formed between the towns of Amchit and Batroun in northern Lebanon on November 1, 2022. No injuries or damage have been reported so far.
While waterspouts are rare in Lebanon, they are not unheard of.1
In May 2022, a waterspout formed off the coast of Mina causing one injury and material damage on the seafront of the northern Lebanese town.
