While there is no locality currently under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) #1, in anticipation of the arrival of strong breeze to near-gale conditions TCWS #1 may be raised over several provinces of Caraga and Davao Region as early as tomorrow, which may result in disruption of maritime activities.
In the next 24 hours, rough to very rough seas (2.8 - 5.0 m / 9 - 16 feet) will be experienced over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao due to the surge of the Northeast Monsoon and Dujuan. Sea travel is risky over these areas, especially for mariners of small seacrafts.
Moderate to rough seas (1.2 - 3.1 m / 3.9 - 12.8 feet) will be experienced over the rest of the seaboards of the country. Mariners of small seacrafts are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea. Inexperienced mariners should avoid navigating in these conditions.
On the forecast track, Tropical Storm "Dujuan" may intensify into a severe tropical storm prior to landfall over Caraga on Saturday evening or Sunday morning (LT).
