Kesongo mud volcano in Central Java, Indonesia erupted at around 05:00 LT on August 27, 2020, leaving 4 people poisoned and 19 buffaloes missing. The last eruption of this mud volcano took place 3 years ago.

Blora BPBD Rapid Reaction Team Coordinator, Agung Tri, said mudflow eruptions occurred several times over a period of about 10 minutes.

According to local media reports, villagers reported mud rising dozens of meters into the air and strong sulfur smell.

At the time of the incident, four men were herding buffaloes quite close to the explosion site. They reportedly felt weak after inhaling the fumes and were taken to hospital.

While the villagers are now in good condition, 19 of their buffaloes are still missing. Some of them reportedly got stuck in the mud but managed to get out with the help of villagers.

  1. Steve, do you want an award for virtue signaling? You’re at the wrong web site. The Watchers gave less attention to the hurricane that hit Louisiana/Texas which killed 4 people and knocked out the power to 25% of the state than some village in Java. But I get it. You hate your fellow American. But they had better pay those taxes, social distance, and bow down to BLM.

  2. Let’s not forget this mud is boiling hot…the buffalo that ‘survived’ had to be severely burned. Earth events like this only make MSM when they have a ‘slow’ news day. A huge thanks to Watchers for their website, keeping us that are attuned to earth’s energy informed.

    1. In that part of the world losing a water buffalo is akin to losing the family sedan,Farmall and Peterbuilt all at the same time. Us people living in the “civilized” world have no idea how valuable those massive animals are to those people.
