Hurricane-force winds and heavy rains wreaked havoc across Yekaterinburg, Russia, on Monday afternoon, May 25, 2020. Numerous trees were downed, many properties sustained extensive damages, roofs and portions of buildings were sent flying, and at least three people were killed.

Strong winds downed many trees, with some crashing on vehicles and blocking roads. Power lines were also destroyed, disrupting power supply across the city.

In one graphic footage, one man was literally blown into the air and knocked out as he tried to hold down a massive sheet of plastic from a roofed parking lot.

According to media reports, the man sustained minor injuries, while the plastic was eventually tackled.

Another video shows a strong gust downing a mobile telecom mast which crashed into the ground.

A resident also captured the moment violent winds blew a balcony off a residential building, sending shards of glass and metal down.

Reports said no one was on the area where the pieces landed.
