Very bright daylight fireball over Ontario, Canada
A very bright daylight fireball was seen streaking across the sky over Ontario, Canada at 22:28 UTC on October 29, 2019 (18:28 LT).
The American Meteor Society (AMS) received just 3 reports by November 3.
Paul Delaney from York University said the object had characteristics of a very large, perhaps baseball-sized rock. "These meteorites are a piece of our past… they're time capsule from the formation of our solar system," he said.
"We've always watched the meteor showers in August at the cottage, so you can see all of the white streaks just all over the sky," one of the eyewitnesses said.
"But this was completely different because it was red and bright. It was a massive fireball. To see something like that, you see videos of it, but to actually see it with your own eyes… videos don't do it justice."
