Multiple landslides hit Uganda, leaving 5 dead, dozens missing

Multiple landslides caused by heavy rains left at least 5 people dead and dozens missing in Uganda's Bududa District on June 4 and 5, 2019.
The rains started around during the late afternoon hours (LT) on June 4, causing multiple landslides over the next couple of hours. The worst-affected areas are Bunamwamba North, Main and South, the Uganda Red Cross Society said.
Authorities said they retrieved 5 bodies and handed them to Bukalasi police post.
Search and rescue operations continue, although the hills and steep and it's threatening to rain again.
