A strong area of low pressure will develop across the southern Plains Saturday, April 13 and move northeastward across the Ohio Valley by Sunday, April 14.

Severe thunderstorms are likely from east Texas across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama on Saturday. A few strong tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail will be possible.

The threat then stretches from the Ohio Valley into the Southeast for Sunday.

The most likely region for strong tornadoes is from east Texas to Mississippi, with the most dangerous period for tornadoes being between about 14:00 to 20:00 CDT.
