Asteroid 2019 EH1 flew past Earth at 0.06 lunar distances

A newly discovered asteroid designated 2019 EH1 flew past Earth at a very close distance of 0.06 LD / 0.00016 AU (23 935 km / 14 872 miles) on March 1, 2019. This is the 8th known asteroid to flyby Earth within 1 lunar distance since the start of the year.
The object belongs to the Apollo group of asteroids. It was first discovered at Catalina Sky Survey on March 1 and made known to the public by CNEOS on March 7.
It has an estimated diameter between 2.5 and 5.7 m (8.2 – 18.7 feet) and it flew past us at a speed (relative to the Earth) of 15.61 km/s at 17:38 UTC on March 1.
