Deadly floods hit Fadhlan valley, Saudi Arabia

Heavy rain hit parts of Saudi Arabia on February 9, 2019, leaving one person dead and another one missing.

Authorities said heavy flooding hit Fadhlan valley, west of Al-Ula governorate, where two casualty reports are coming from.

111 people were rescued in Madinah, western Saudi Arabia and 14 families relocated, the Arab News reports.

Some of the roads have been closed in various governorates.

The rain has since spread further east toward Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Iran. Heavy rain is expected over parts of central Iran and Pakistan over the next 48 hours.
