Massive tornado hits Turkey’s Antalya, leaving 1 dead, 1 missing and 10 injured
A very large tornado hit the city of Antalya, Turkey's tourism capital, on January 24, 2019, leaving at least 1 person dead, 1 missing and 10 injured. Major damage was reported in Kumluca and Finike districts.
Officials said a 13-year-old girl has been killed. Ten people were injured and one 20-year-old woman is still missing after a vehicle her mother was driving was dragged into a stream by the tornado, the Daily Sabah reports.
The tornado damaged many vehicles, agricultural estates and greenhouses.
Two people were severely injured, Antalya Governor Münir Karaloğlu said.
