Severe Cyclonic Storm “Luban” nearly stationary in Arabian Sea, landfall expected in Yemen
Very Severe Cyclonic Storm "Luban" is currently nearly stationary cyclone over westcentral Arabian Sea. Its center is located about 500 km (310 miles) ESE of Salalah, Oman, 490 km (304 miles) ENE of Socotra Islands, Yemen and 670 km (416 miles) ESE of Al-Ghaidah, Yemen, according to special bulletin released by RSMC New Delhi at 09:30 UTC, October 11, 2018.
Luban is very likely to intensify further and move ENE towards Yemen and south Oman coasts during the next 4 days.

Wind warning
Gale wind speed reaching 120 – 130 km/h (75 – 80 mph) gusting to 145 km/h (90 mph) is prevailing over westcentral Arabian Sea. It is very likely to decrease gradually becoming 110 – 120 km/h (68 – 75 mph) gusting to 135 km/h (84 mph) by the morning of October 15, 2018 over westcentral Arabian Sea around the system centre.
Sea condition
The sea condition is phenomenal around the system center. It is very likely continue to be phenomenal over westcentral Arabian Sea until the morning of October 13, 2018 and over adjoin areas of Gulf of Aden.
Fishermen warning
The fishermen are advised not to venture into deep sea areas of westcentral Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden until October 14.
