A newly discovered asteroid designated 2018 TC flew past Earth at 0.79 LD / 0.00204 AU (305 179 km / 189 629 miles) at 20:00 UTC on September 30, 2018. 

2018 TC belongs to the Apollo group of asteroids. It was first observed at ATLAS-MLO, Mauna Loa on October 2, 2018, three days after it made its close approach.

This asteroid has an estimated diameter between 12 and 28 m (40 – 92 feet) and it flew past Earth at a speed (relative to the Earth) of 5.86 km/s.

This is the 12th known asteroid to flyby Earth during the month of September and the 52nd this year so far.
