At least 7 people were injured and several small boats capsized after a rockfall hit Navagio Beach beach on the Greek island of Zakynthos on September 13, 2018.

This beach, also known as the Shipwreck beach, is only accessible by sea and is a popular tourist attraction.

According to witnesses, a large rock fell from a cliff into the sea, creating a large wave that capsized several small boats.

7 people were injured, authorities said, adding that one woman suffered back injuries and was transferred to a hospital.

Authorities sent fire department rescue crews accompanied by a sniffer dog and one helicopter crew to investigate the site and determine whether there were any people missing.

The beach was later evacuated and all people accounted for.

The site is closed for all visitors until further notice.
