Missouri duck boat sinks as intense thunderstorm rips through Branson
A duck boat with 31 people aboard capsized and sunk in Branson, Missouri late July 19, 2018, as an intense thunderstorm swept over the area. 13 people were killed and 4 remain missing as of early Friday, July 20.
An intense thunderstorm hit Branson, a popular vacation spot, with heavy rain, sustained winds over 65 km/h (40 mph) and wind gusts up to 101 km/h (63 mph) about 18:30 local time.
Just a half an hour later, emergency crews responded to "Mass Casualty Incident" involving a World War Two duck boat with 31 people aboard on Table Rock Lake.

The video that captured the duck tour boat sinking in Missouri is just horrifying. The death toll is already up.. 13 people ages 1 to 70-years old died. 4 people are still unaccounted for, divers searching for them right now. Video footage shot by a witness on shore showed two duck boats struggling through rough waters. One of them returned to the shore but the other was driven back by the wind and eventually capsized.
13 people have been confirmed dead, aged from 1 to 70, and four remain missing as of early July 20. A spokeswoman for the Cox Medical Center Branson said four adults and three children arrived at the hospital shortly after the incident.
In a statement released by the "Ride the Ducks," owner of the capsized boat, said the weather was 'calm' when the boat tour trip began and the storm that sank the boat 'came out of nowhere.'
Steve Lindenberg, a NWS meteorologist in Springfield, Missouri, said the agency had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Branson area on Thursday evening ahead of winds of more than 100 km/h (60 mph). "It’s a warning telling people to take shelter," he said.
Duck boat – or DUKW – is a six-wheel-drive amphibious truck originally used by the U.S. military in World War II to transport personnel and supplies over land and water.
Some 21 000 DUKWs were produced during WWII, many of which served on D-Day and in the Normandy landings. They were later modified for use as sightseeing vehicles.

I live near Devil’s Tower, Wyoming…In the past 6 to 8 weeks I have seen STORM after STORM just APPEAR as if from NO WHERE…No warning’s, no build up…The skies were blue without a CLOUD…THEN….In literally MINUTES….The skies were DARK DARK DARK Grey,almost BLACK…And seeing clouds like I have never seen in all my forty some years of life, they look PURE EVIL…The storms are producing large hail, ferocious winds, torrential rains, and we even had a tornado, and where I live, that is ALMOST DOWN RIGHT IMPOSSIBLE…Because of the elevation, tornado’s have a very very difficult time forming at this elevation, and also, once these events usually begin, we have enough cold air, to just bust the mixture needed to form a tornado…I cannot believe the stuff I am seeing here as of late, and in my opinion, it is happening MORE and MORE…If this happened ONE TIME in a summer season, we would all consider it an anomaly and move on, nothing too it…But one after another, and not just here, these are appearing all over N. America, just like I am describing…Something is not right…Either they are being created WITH INTENT, or there is “SOMETHING” “near” earth that is influencing these events…Such as Planet X / Wormwood / Nemisis…When you add these types of events in with the uptick in geological activity, it spells BIG TROUBLE ahead….Floods are happening at an unparalleled rate, Earthquakes and Volcanic eruptions have increased in the THOUSANDS of percentages, Sinkholes, and another thing I have also been seeing is HUGE CRACKS opening up, Sun is emitting UV-A, UV-B, UV-C, and solar radiation way beyond what we are being told, and there are just too many things for all this too be some “accident”…
