At least 7 people have died in weather-related incidents across Mexico over the past 7 days, including 6 who died in the past two days. 

Heavy rain was caused by a tropical disturbance over the western Gulf of Mexico which affected NE Mexico and parts of Texas, US. 

A total of 40 neighborhoods reported flood damage in the city of Reynosa, state of Tamaulipas. Three people died in the state since June 2, two of them in separate incidents after they accidentally touched an electrical cable and one after he drowned in his car.

Within 72 hours to June 21, Reynosa recorded 245 mm (9.6 inches) of rain, Matamoros 180 mm (7 inches), and Díaz Ordaz 170 mm (6.7 inches), according to data provided by the FloodList.

Around 40 people were evacuated in the state of Guanajuato where heavy rain caused flooding in several districts. The worst affected was the district of Silao. One man was killed in community of Llanos de Santa Ana after he was hit by rocks that fell from a ridge next to the Valenciana-Cristo Rey highway after being dislodged due to heavy rain.

2 people died of carbon monoxide poisoning in the state of Aguascalientes after they were trapped in the vehicle caught up in flood waters in the city of Aguascalientes. The city recorded 140 mm (5.5 inches) of rain on June 20 and 21.

At least 32 neighborhoods were affected and more than 70 shelters were opened in the city to attend to those forced to evacuate their homes.
