A bright fireball entered Earth's atmosphere over the city of Bordeaux, western France at 21:32 UTC (22:32 CET) on November 14, 2017, as the second major fireball event within 5 hours. It lasted up to 3 seconds.

The International Meteor Organization (IMO) received 70 witness reports by 19:50 UTC on November 15. Two people reported delayed sound associated with the event and 1 concurrent. 

The fireball has been caught on 10 cams operated by the French camera network FRIPON, a member of the citizen science project Vigie-Ciel (Toulouse, Angers, Talence, Sabres, Carcassonne, Aurillac, Hendaye, Saint Bonnet Vert, Coulounieix-Chamiers and Mauroux). 

"This event doesn’t seem like being part of the Taurid Meteor Shower," IMO said.

This was the second of four major fireball events within 10 hours on November 14 and 15, 2017. The first event took place at 16:48 UTC on November 14 over western Germany and, with over 1 500 reports, it soon became the most reported fireball event from Europe since the AMS and the IMO launched the international version of the AMS fireball form. The third event took place over Ohio, United States at 01:49 UTC on November 15 and the fourth over Arizona, US at 03:29 UTC on November 15.
