DSCOVR’s EPIC camera returns its first image of entire sunlit side of Earth
NASA's Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) has finally captured and returned its first view of the entire sunlit side of Earth. DSCOVR, launched February 11, 2015, reached its final destination on June 7 when it entered orbit around the 1st Lagrange point (L1), the neutral gravity point between the Earth and Sun, approximately 1.5 million km (~1 million miles) from our planet.
The first color image of Earth was taken by its Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera or EPIC, a four megapixel CCD camera and telescope, on July 6, 2015.
The image was generated by combining three separate images to create a photographic-quality image. The camera takes a series of 10 images using different narrowband filters – from ultraviolet to near infrared – to produce a variety of science products. The red, green and blue channel images are used in these color images.

"The high quality of the EPIC images exceeded all of our expectations in resolution. The images clearly show desert sand structures, river systems and complex cloud patterns. There will be a huge wealth of new data for scientists to explore," said Adam Szabo, DSCOVR project scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Once the instrument begins regular data acquisition, EPIC will provide a daily series of Earth images allowing for the first time study of daily variations over the entire globe.
These images, available 12 to 36 hours after they are acquired, will be posted to a dedicated web page by September 2015.

OMG. You can see all the spray from the geo engineering in this pic. In this photo of earth I can see the same I see every day on the ground. The purplish reflective cloud like haze on the horizon is visible in this photo too all around the outer edges of earth – the horizons.
What sun lit side is this? I only partially see one land mass. Can’t even see land – that is how thick the poison spray chems are in the atmosphere? Is that why I can only see a partial piece of ONE land mass????? :() AHHHHH.
Why is this subject matter not covered in ANY media outlet? Watchers what say you??? Will you follow the lies or will you step up and cover this truth? Waiting……….
In case you are too afraid to do it, know that 20 million people alone just on geoengineeringwatch.org are fully aware of this issue of spraying the atmosphere to dim the sun and COOL the air for global warming control. Many of those viewers have their own private web sites depicting this nightmare for awareness so add to the 20 million there. Then all those who see but act like they do not etc. etc. Point is Watchers…..millions and millions already know, already have written letters to officials of their neighborhoods, sent pictures, they hold activist rallies, they protest, they call the news, they tell everyone, so it is out there but if only ONE news org would follow activist leads, then maybe it would be exposed as it should be. ONLINE / ON TV NEWS.
YOU too breath this poison watchers, please cover it. It ain’t working and it ain’t stopping anything. BUT, it is killing the environment and people so what the heck are ya waiting for to cover this? PLEASE COVER IT – isn’t LIFE more important then any other thing today?
Socialism has creeped in to our country like a plague, it has also become sky socialism. EVERY land now has the exact same skies, the weather too. All temps are controlled or can be controlled. IS this the world everyone really wants to live in? Fake weather, fake food, fake livestock, fake insects, fake money everything is fake! Fake chem air now too…..?????
People are so gone they are buying RE like candy and they are buying poison skies ?? The oceans are all diseased now too and they go on vacation to swim in them as the sea life is dying from suffocation around them?? GONE, the masses are gone and earth will be too if some one doesn’t step up and cover this issue!!
You don’t need to go to the carribean anymore they have the same skies as NY does now etc. etc. Save your money.
It used to be so bright and clear when you went on vacation and why you went there. Now it is gone, do you notice?? ALL days now we have a white haze in the air no matter how seemingly “clear” it is outside. NOTICE it and then remember you inhaled it too.
