A large plasma filament located in the northern hemisphere of the Sun erupted between 13:00 and 16:00 UTC on September 2, 2014, generating what appears to be Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejection (CME).

Although analysis is still not complete SWPC warned there may be Earth directed component. WSA-ENLIL model suggests impact to Earth's magnetic field around 07:00 UTC on September 6, 2014.

Update: Analysis and model results suggests it was moving between 600-700 km/s.  A glancing blow is possible mid to late on September 6 as the bulk of the ejecta was directed northward. (SWPC, September 4, 2014 @ 00:30 UTC)

    1. May be true, but the future will always be created by the events of History. If not for the actions of the present, which is reaction to the past, the future cannot occur. So, in a world where time relevance is the basis of existence, both are possible.

  1. On December 30, 2013 the smartasses of NASA said the Sun started a new minimum cycle. By the way this is not the first wrong prediction about solar activities.Just review their predictions in the last 25 years and see for yourself how ridiculous they are. In most cases their opinions are exactly the opposite. Still if you tell them that the model you are using to predict solar activity is wrong they will ignore you. Because of course they know it all. Well trust me they are more of politicians than scientists
