Cosmologist Laura Mersini-Houghton claims black holes do not exist

At the HowTheLightGetsIn festival in May, cosmologist Laura Mersini-Houghton released her groundbreaking research into black holes to the public for the first time. In the talk, Mersini Houghton presented groundbreaking new research that shows black holes may not exist.

She claims that due to forces inside a collapsing star, that had been overlooked until now, event horizons and singularities do not form.

The current picture of black holes is that there is both a singularity and an event horizon – this new research shows that neither exist, and that rather than complete gravitational collapse, the star will bounce back, releasing the energy in the form of shock waves If new experiments can find the evidence to support her work, then we will have proof that there is no conflict between quantum mechanics and general relativity, and the black hole information paradox will be solved.

The talk is also avaiable to watch on iai tv – http://iai.tv/video/out-of-darkness. Follow up paper will be coming in a couple of months.

  1. This is utter bollocks, but unfortunately it's typical of mainstream astro-science, and Laura needs to give her ideas a proper shake. Stars do not form from collapsing matter; they are balls of plasma in arc mode of various amounts and densities, for ours is an Electric Universe, not a gravity-centric one. Hawking already admitted that his event horizon and therefore black holes as a theory is theoretical, mathematical nonsense; this being just one of the many admissions that have already, quietly been made, where these can be considered the tip of the iceberg of those that are yet to come. Get yourself straight on this by reading about star formation theory at http://www.holoscience.com … and even straighter by just googling Electric Universe articles or going to the Thunderbolts website at http://www.thunderbolts.info.
