Incoming CME – minor geomagnetic storm in progress!

A incoming CME shock swept past our planet at 03:25 UTC. A geomagnetic sudden impulse of 31 nT was detected by the Boulder, Colorado magnetometer. The ACE Spacecraft did show a solar wind increase to near 400 km/s. Minor geomagnetic activity will be possible at very high latitudes.  Stay tuned for more updates!

SOHO’s LASCO C2 captured image of still unidentified object heading toward Sun. Looks like a stargazing comet at first look. Stay tuned for more updates!

    1. Clearly it shows a minor geo storm, but I would much rather be shown this than a MAJOR one.

The sun has recently, over the past 3-4 years, shown increased activity to which is more than likely the cause of failure to the Envisat satellite.

We are much past the alarm state. We should rouse much sensitivity to these reports. Reports such as these are vital in my opinion.

Pay attention. Clue it in yourself. I find that I clear mass media reports from my mind more often than I do reports based on factual data. These numbers will eventually form and derive a pattern that cannot be ignored.

Problem is that most people do not understand what this data actually means therefore is too cryptic to be formulated into a logical pattern. That does not mean that one could not easily turn that around on its head and start to draw conclusions about these data sets independently.
